Bishkek - Chon-Kemin – Issyk-Kul – Bishkek
Duration: 5 Days Combined tour: (trekking and cultural) Season: middle of May – middle of September
Itinerary: Bishkek - Chon-Kemin – Issyk-Kul – Bishkek Day 1. Arrival in airport “Manas”. Transfer from airport “Manas” to Bishkek. Transfer to the Guest house “Asia Mountains”/“Shumkar Asia”. Rest. After small briefing (around 12:00) transfer to Chon-Kemin (1900 m above sea level) Accommodation in Guest House. Day 2. After breakfast up to trekking (about 6–7 hours) through the picturesque places. Overnight in tents.
Day 3. After breakfast beginning of the trek, cross the Kalmak-Ashuu Pass (about 7 hours). Lunch on halt. Descent to Balykchy city. Moving to Issyk-Kul lake. Rest in “Royal Beach” Hotel. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 4. Breakfast and rest, excursion to Cholpon-Ata to petroglyphs and Ethnographical Museum. Transfer back to Bishkek (250 km), on the way visiting of Burana tower at the place of the ancient city Balasagyn (XI - XIII). Lunch on the way. Accommodation in a Guest House in Bishkek. Farewell-dinner in the city restaurant.
Day 5. After breakfast transfer to Airport. Departure to home-country.
Level of difficulty: This tour is recommended for people with hiking experience (hiking time approximately 5-7 hours per day). Conditions: It is necessary to bring a sleeping bag, warm clothes and trekking boots.
